Overview

Wyyerd Fiber is seeking a Director of Marketing and Customer Acquisition to oversee our marketing efforts, build brand awareness and drive sales in our California market. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and energetic individual who will play a critical role on the California leadership team, with responsibility for all local marketing across all sales channels and customer segments in the California market.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for an enthusiastic marketing and customer acquisition leader with broad expertise and experience to lead the building of the Wyyerd brand across southern California and achieving aggressive sales targets as we go. This role will have responsibility for the local marketing strategy, planning, budget, and media mix, leading execution across all marketing tactics and channels. Success will mean the leveraging of the marketing dollar to maximum effect in a competitive market with large competitors. This position is a key role on the California leadership team and will actively contribute to Wyyerd’s growth strategy and support the GM in execution. This position will also be a close partner to the central sales and marketing team and local sales and marketing teams from other markets who work together to define and implement best practices in sales and marketing across the company.

Responsibilities
-Primarily responsible for achieving responsible customer growth targets utilizing available resources. Meet or exceed aggressive customer sales and net gain goals with budgeted marketing spend. Primary focus on eComm and Inbound Sales targets.
-Leadership of CA Marketing team in all campaign design, campaign execution and content selection in support of both customer acquisition and retention
-Short and long term planning, budget management, marketing mix and spend allocation management
-Leverage analytics to identify actionable insights to optimize business performance and campaign management
-Public relations in support of brand building in the local market
-Community relations, including with government, HOA and other community officials
-Local events selection and leadership
-Local social media and strong input on company-wide social media
-Lead generation and lead management
-Messaging and enablement for local sales teams across all sales channels and customer segments
-Partnership and coordination with the central marketing team and local marketing teams from other markets to optimize tactics and implement best practices
-Use/oversight of marketing tools and platforms to effectively implement campaigns and measure and drive results
-Demonstration of a highly quantitative, goal-oriented mentality
-Thought partnership with General Manager, peer leaders and the central marketing team to coordinate and optimize team efforts to achieve goals
-Relentless focus on the customer and evangelizing the Wyyerd brand as a friendly, local, transparent provider unlike traditional internet options in the market

Experience/Qualifications
-Eight+ years’ experience in sales and marketing and experience leading a marketing team
-Proven marketing thought leadership and original campaign design/creation experience
-Strong writing and design experience
-Proven ability to plan and manage budgets and achieve sales targets
-Familiarity with sales and marketing tools and systems such as direct mail management tools, campaign automation tools, web/digital analytics tools, and other tools/platforms to measure success
-Fiber/Telecommunications/Cable/Internet industry experience a strong plus
-Strong ability to learn and adapt to a new industry and/or new circumstances in a known industry is imperative
-Appetite to operate effectively in a fluid and changing environment
-Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
-Highly organized and communicative with colleagues and leaders
-Preference given to individuals living in close proximity to the Wyyerd office in National City
