Our Story & Growth
Wyyerd launched with a simple goal: to shake up the traditional Internet experience and deliver the kind of service we’d want for ourselves – fast, reliable, and customer-first.
We acquired Zona Communications, an Internet Service Provider serving Arizona’s West Valley since 1995. Known for its deep community roots and early fiber-to-the-home services, Zona gave Wyyerd a strong foundation for the Greater Phoenix Area and marked our evolution from startup to long-term local infrastructure partner.
We crossed state lines and brought Wyyerd to CA, launching service in San Diego County. Our goal was the same: to provide communities with a better Internet option, delivered by a local and deeply committed team.
We accelerated our West Valley expansion, investing in new builds and lighting up more communities—from Surprise to Glendale and beyond. This growth deepened our roots and brought multi-gig speeds and reliable service to even more neighborhoods.
Most recently, we’ve expanded even further across Arizona. With the acquisition of key fiber network assets from Ting and Conterra Networks, we’re bringing Wyyerd to Southern Arizona – including the Tucson area and beyond. With over 5,000 fiber miles and infrastructure added to our network, we’re laying the groundwork to serve even more communities with our service.
