Overview

Wyyerd Group (“Wyyerd”) is seeking a Director, Sales and Marketing to lead the continuous development and refinement of Wyyerd’s sales and marketing best practice “playbook” and support Wyyerd’s sales and
marketing teams in the local markets – Central Arizona and Southern California. This leader will synchronize Wyyerd’s brand and messaging strategy, allowing for adaptation in local markets where warranted, and manage the development of marketing insights through tools and analytics. This position requires a dynamic, creative and energetic personality and a team-player approach. This role will report to the COO.

Responsibilities

The Director, Sales and Marketing is a member of the central team that provides strategic and operational insights through the development of sales and marketing analytics, enables brand standards across markets and leads initiatives to improve the effectiveness of Wyyerd’s sales and marketing teams. This role will collaborate with all teams - central and local - to identify and implement best practices across markets. The ideal candidate will be passionate about growing a brand and business in “hyper-scale” mode, working at a fast pace along with teammates who are doing the same.

Direct Responsibilities
- Define/expand the company’s Sales & Marketing Playbook – Identify best practices, either in use in
a local market or new and not yet in use, and enable their implementation, testing and continuous
refinement in one or more local market(s), thereby continuously refining and expanding the Wyyerd
playbook of best practices in all areas of sales and marketing
- Provide coaching and enable sharing of best practices across markets – Facilitate the sharing of
best practices across markets and provide coaching to implement those best practices, allowing for
differences in local markets where warranted, to enable the local teams to achieve their sales goals and
other KPIs
- Lead marketing analytics and tools -- Develop, define and track marketing and sales KPIs, such as
ROI, sales, cost of customer acquisition, direct response performance and buyflow effectiveness.
Identify and leverage tools to enable tracking, partnering closely with the internal software/development
team to enable tracking capabilities
- Manage Brand, creative and messaging strategy -- With input from the local marketing teams, lead
the brand, creative and messaging strategy including oversight of brand guidelines, value propositions,
website and creative, allowing for adaptation as appropriate in local markets
- Streamline marketing operations -- Maximize cost and resource efficiency by streamlining vendor
relationships and operations behind sales, marketing and lead generation efforts in the local markets,
including SEO/SEM, media placement, direct mail, collateral, and other capabilities and tactics
Support/Indirect Responsibilities
- Support customer growth targets – Support execution to achieve sales, gross adds and revenue
targets via the above “direct” responsibilities and by making recommendations about how to allocate
sales and marketing spend. Highest priority near-term segment is residential, with additional support for
SMB, enterprise, carriers and non-profit/Government/Education
- Support sales channel execution – Support eComm sales efforts, employees and outsourced vendor
relationships. Support Inbound sales in conjunction with the CSAR (customer service and activation)
leaders. Support function for Direct Sales
- Continuously focus on ROI -- Provide input to plans and marketing spend with a focus on ROI, with
the goal of defining plans with clearly outlined ROI goals, measuring against them and adjusting plans
based on results in an ongoing fashion in order to drive success
- Partner with internal teams -- Collaborate and partner effectively with colleagues across the business,
both in the Wyyerd central organization and in the local markets, in order to effectively and optimally
achieve goals (both yours and theirs)
- Maintain passionate focus on the customer experience -- Cultivate customer satisfaction and
outstanding customer experience by understanding the customer, optimizing experience, measuring
satisfaction, communicating needs internally, and continually improving
- Support internal training and communications -- Support internal communications and training with
CSARs and other team members across the company as appropriate on products, pricing and
marketing programs

Experience/Qualifications
- 8+ years in Marketing, Sales and/or other related roles with accountability for sales and KPIs
- Degree in Marketing or related field, strongly preferred, but may be offset by specific experience
- Experience with sales and marketing tools and systems such as marketing automation and direct sales
enablement/tracking
- Demonstrated track record of building effective relationships in a broad community ecosystem
- True passion for a high-paced, high-growth environment
- Superior quantitative skills with a track record of developing actionable insights through data analysis
and KPI management
- Highly organized and communicative with colleagues and leaders
- Team player/collaborative approach is a must
