SURPRISE, AZ – Wyyerd Fiber, a fiber-to-the-premise Internet Service Provider, partnered with Benevilla this holiday season to support homebound older adults and adults with disabilities through a Hygiene Essentials Drive supported by Wyyerd customers, employees, and the local community.
Through the drive, Wyyerd collected more than 2,500 hygiene items, which were donated to Benevilla’s Free Home Services program. These items help ensure individuals who are homebound have access to essential personal care items during the holiday season.
“At Wyyerd, we believe showing up for our customers also means showing up for the people and communities around us,” said Joseph Pesa, Director of Customer Service at Wyyerd Fiber. “This drive was a powerful example of how much our customers care. Collecting more than 2,500 items is an incredible show of generosity, and we are proud to help deliver that support where it is needed most.”
Benevilla’s Free Home Services program provides free support to older adults and adults with disabilities who need assistance remaining independent at home. Services include grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, wellness check calls, and emergency errands.
“The members were overwhelmed and so grateful for this service,” said Jennifer Kehren, Director of CARES and Volunteer Services at Benevilla. “Many struggle with basic needs, and this drive allowed us to provide hygiene items alongside other donations. One member, Susan, was so touched that she insisted on giving her delivery volunteer some candy, creating a warm and memorable moment. Volunteers also reported hugs and tears, with members saying this will help them enjoy a happy holiday season.”
“We cannot thank Wyyerd Fiber enough for choosing to support Benevilla and our Free Home Services program,” Kehren added. “These donated items will directly benefit some of our most vulnerable neighbors and remind them they are not forgotten.”
