AZ Fiber Internet Installation Process: What to Expect

June 5, 2023
Congratulations on starting your new Internet and or phone service with Wyyerd Fiber.
Here is what you can expect during your fiber to the home installation.

Before your installation, make a list of all of your devices connected to the Internet with any usernames and passwords needed. Also, make sure and download the Wyyerd App before your appointment (more on that below).

In some homes that have not had Wyyerd service or are not in a newly constructed home, fiber will be taken from the box already placed in the front yard and be run into the home. You will see our pre-installation team dig a small trench about 4 inches deep and then replace rocks, dirt or other materials needed to cover the small trench after the fiber is run to the home. Once this is complete, the fiber will be ready to bring into the home on the day of your appointment.

On the day of your appointment, your technician will call and confirm they are on the way. This is a scheduled appointment time, not a window. Our professional technicians will have a Wyyerd ID badge and introduce themselves at your front door.

The technician will determine where the structured wiring panel is located, desired router location, what router will be used, and use this time to suggest their professional opinion on all of these topics. You can see the full installation process in the video above which shows the fiber coming through the walls and into a small wall plate. The wall plate holds the fiber that will connect to your equipment and Wi-Fi router.

Once you are connected, a technician will help you with your network name and password through the Wyyerd App. You will also run a speed test and get all of your questions answered.

If you have any other questions about your installation, or you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact service.az@wyyerd.com or call (623) 455-4555 during business hours.
